Writing
to a penpal can be great fun, not to mention receiving lots of letters in
return. You could also make a friend for life. Here’s what to do:
1.
Decide
where you want your pen pal
to be from, how old you want them to be, whether you want a male or female pen
pal and so on. It’s best to be flexible on terms of locations and stick to
someone only two years older or younger than you.

to Google (or any other search website) to join and write to a few local
magazines or newspapers. On most pen pal websites, you have to create an
account on a site before you can start finding friends.

most pen pal websites you can make your own profile. When you have activated
your account, it’s time to set up your own profile which other pen pals can
see. Designing your profile in a good manner plays a key role in getting new
pen pals.
4.
Read
about some of other people looking for pen pals to see if there are any you
might like to write. Most pen pal sites have many search options. You can await
responses on your profile or you can use the search function on Pen pal Global.
5.
When
you find someone you like, check the magazine and website guidelines to find
out how to make contact. On most websites you can add pen pals as friends or
send them a message.
6.
Make
your initial contact short, light, and friendly.
